Classical: Black tie optional
Girls – Evening dress, dressy cocktail dress or dressy cocktail separates. Elegance is the guideline. High neckline and dresses cut at knees or below are required; high heels are discouraged. (see examples below)
Boys – Dark suit with a white or solid-colored shirt and conservative tie. Tuxedos are still allowed, but dress shoes and socks are required.
Jazz: For the most part Jazz will match these requirements, but there may be more casual Jazz performances, and Mr. Harvey will communicate those details.
Examples are for neckline and dress length only. Dark blue or Black is preferable for color choices.
When choosing a dress:
1) please consider dress top security when bowing to the audience before and after performing
2) dress length (any length at the knee or below) while sitting on a piano bench on an elevated stage
